Braking the Sound Barrier

Subsonic        Mach 1.7

In the cabin

I sat back in my seat and enjoyed the thought and the experience of flying at faster than the speed of sound

I looked through my rear window and saw the afterburners, I remembered how at take off  I had briefly leaned back in my seat 1 or 2 times and saw the blue glow of the after burners from my window but I didn’t have time to take any photos or videos of them as  we took off fast and I felt it would have been dangerous for me to unbuckle my seat belt and video them on take off.

But now as we where accelerating to mach 1.7 the afterburners where lit and I was determined to get photos and videos of them.

I kept on saying to my self

:-

I have got to get photos of those afterburners ………. got to get photos of those afterburners, got to get photos of those afterburners………

I looked out of both my window and the window behind me

:-

I saw the blue glow of the afterburners, the blue glow looked like blue glow you get from switching on a gas hob on a gas cooker it was the same colour.

I got the EOS 3 and the BBC camcorder, I could just see it from my window, I took a photo I took 1-2 photos of the afterburner with the EOS 3, then I took the video of it with the camcorder

I then leaned back in my seat to and got better view from the window behind me, again I took photos and video of it.

While I was doing this I’m glad the stewardesses didn’t say anything to me, after I got the afterburners  I checked the camcorder and yep I had got the video of the afterburners, I was very happy as I thought
