G-BOAA - Heathrow Airport

Above is a video of  G-BOAA taken in summer 2003

in a Concorde Hanger  at Heathrow Airport.

When this video was taken G-BOAA had been in the Concorde hanger for 4 years after BA had retired the plane in 2000.

G-BOAA was being used for  spare parts to keep all the other Concordes in BA’s fleet running and in good shape.

It was a very sad sight to see her like this but by 2000 she was coming to the end of her air worthy life and rather than scrap her and melt her down, BA decided to ground her and use her for spare parts until such a time she could be sent to a museum, rebuilt and given TLC (Tender Loving Care).
